Once upon a time, healers, builders, teachers, and dreamers heard the same call–that LGBTQ+ young people across Central Indiana deserved a beacon of hope, a refuge, a place of their own where they could heal, grow, and thrive. And so, they worked tirelessly, gathering resources and allies and companions, and laid the foundation for what we know today as Trinity Haven.

Five years later, our story is still being written, with the support of our founders, the vision of our leaders, and the kindness of friends like you. But the truest authors are the young people themselves, whose courage fills every page. Our mission remains steadfast: that every person deserves safety, security, and a place to belong.

And each year when September comes, old friends and new return home. On September 19, we gather for Homecoming: Once Upon a Time, to celebrate five years of the story so far, honor the work of those who wrote its first chapters, and turn the page together on the year ahead. Expect good food, good drinks, and good company. As for the rest of the evening’s enchantments? That’s a story for another time.

Every good story needs its characters–that’s where you come in! Are you a bard spinning a yarn, an enchantress wearing a beautiful dress, a woodland elf who has lost their shelf, or a misunderstood villain who is finally invited to the party? Whoever you are, you are welcome! Storybook attire is encouraged but never required.
